Training & Consultation for Organizations
Strengthening clinical practice, supervision, and the systems that support them.
The Center for Ethical Social Work Practice partners with organizations to develop clinical supervisors, support clinical teams, and strengthen the conditions for ethical, sustainable practice. We offer professional training, supervisor development, and organizational consultation for community mental health organizations, government agencies, healthcare systems, universities, and professional associations.
From a focused workshop to an ongoing learning partnership, we work with you to design an engagement that fits your team, your goals, and your organizational context.
Give your clinicians and supervisors the support their work requires.
Clinical expertise does not automatically prepare someone to supervise. A training alone cannot resolve every organizational challenge. And ethical practice becomes harder when clinicians are asked to navigate complex responsibilities without adequate support.
CESWP helps organizations examine these connections and develop practical ways forward.
Our work can support organizations seeking to:
-
Prepare clinicians for supervisory responsibilities.
-
Build greater consistency across supervision practices.
-
Support experienced supervisors through complex clinical and ethical decisions.
-
Address burnout and moral distress while attending to organizational conditions.
-
Strengthen professional development, accountability, and reflective practice.
Together, we identify what your organization needs and where training, consultation, or a sustained partnership can be most useful.

Ways to Work Together
Signature Workshops
Established workshops provide focused professional learning with adaptation to your audience and setting. Topics center on clinical supervision, ethical practice, professional identity, and sustainable clinical work.
Available engagements can range from shorter workshops to half-day and full-day trainings.
Customized Training & Professional Education
When your organization needs a more specific approach, CESWP can adapt existing material or develop a customized curriculum.
We collaborate with you to clarify learning goals, understand your audience, and incorporate relevant examples and practical applications. Engagements may include a single workshop, conference presentation, or multi-session series.
Ongoing Supervisor Development & Organizational Consultation
Build professional development into the life of your organization through monthly or quarterly engagements.
Partnerships may combine training, supervisor consultation, facilitated reflection, and leadership consultation. Together, we can examine supervision expectations, strengthen consistency, and support the people responsible for clinicians’ development.
The scope and frequency are shaped around your organization’s priorities.
Retreats & Learning Intensives
Create dedicated space for learning, reflection, and professional connection.
CESWP offers customized supervisor development intensives and facilitated professional retreats that bring substantive education together with time to examine practice, relationships, and organizational responsibilities.

Thoughtful education. Practical application.
Attention to context.
CESWP’s approach is relational, evidence-informed, and grounded in anti-oppressive practice.
We attend to how power, identity, organizational expectations, and access to resources shape clinical work and supervision. We support professional accountability while examining the conditions that make ethical practice possible.
Training combines substantive concepts with concrete examples, reflective questions, and tools participants can apply in their work.
Whether we are facilitating a workshop or supporting an ongoing partnership, our aim is to help organizations develop practices that are clear, thoughtful, and responsive to the people involved.
